Grezzana

Lessinia, or Monti Lessini, is a plateau nelle Vicentine Pre-Alps, located between le provinces of Verona, Vicenza e di Trent.
A part of the territory constitutes the Regional natural park of Lessinia.
Since ancient times, Lessinia has seen the presence of man. It dates from the beginning of II millennium BC the spread of castles, small fortified settlements located on the top of the reliefs.
In 1287, Bishop Bartolomeo della Scala allowed a group of colonists of German origin to settle in today's area Roverè Veronese, constituting the first nucleus of the Cimbri of Lessinia.

Villa Arvedi
Villa Allegri Arvedi is the largest Venetian villa in the province of Verona, located in the municipality of Grezzana.

Lessinia National Park
The Lessinia Natural Park extends over the Monti Lessini plateau, behind Verona and on the border with the province of Trento.
The Park extends for over 100 km2. The landscape of the plateau is typical of the pre-Alpine one, divided into wide ridges marked by basins and valleys designed by meadows and pastures, alternating with hornbeam, beech and spruce woods.

The bridge is the result of the natural evolution of a grotto. In the beginning there was a cave represented by a sort of architrave made up of the current bridge. The torrential course of the waters passed over the bridge forming a waterfall. It is reported that Dante Alighieri, exiled to Verona and guest of Cangrande della Scala, was inspired by le Malebolge.
The gigantic indeed chestnut present in the immediate vicinity is called the Chestnut of Dante.

In the nearby town of Ceredo it is possible to practice climbing on overhanging limestone walls, with a great variety of holds.

Riparo Tagliente is one of the most important Paleolithic sites in northern Italy. The finds discovered so far document a human presence of about 80,000 years. To be dated between 13,500 and 11,000 BC are some findings of bone and stone with representations of animals. Among the most famous are a lion engraved on a block, which was part of a burial and an imposing ibex, one of the most beautiful of all the upper Paleolithic.

Lake Garda

After the brief period of municipal freedom, Vicenza was always subject to the more powerful neighboring cities, even if it was never conquered by any of them with arms, but it gave itself more or less spontaneously to them: in custody in Padua in 1266, in recognition of the imperial authority represented by Cangrande della Scala in 1311, a Giangaleazzo Visconti in 1387 and finally to the Serenissima Republic of Venice in 1404.
